RULES OF THE HOUSE

SAFETY |

1.1 |
The Client is
solely responsible for safety on the property during the period of the
Rental. |
|
1.2 |
AT NO TIME
SHOULD CHILDREN UNDER 14 be left unattended in the Swimming Pool enclosure |
|
1.3 |
The Barbecue
must only be used by responsible adults |
|
1.4 |
The swimming
pool gate must be kept closed at all times |
|
1.5 |
Do not run beside
the swimming pool |
|
1.6 |
Do not take
glasses/bottles into the swimming pool area |
|
1.7 |
Darts should
only be used with responsible supervision |
|
1.8 |
Bicycles
should not be taken off the property without responsible supervision |
|
1.9 |
Check that the
bicycle child-seat is secure before using |
|
1.10 |
Do not let
young children open/close the shutters |
|
1.11 |
Use the safety
gate at the top of the stairs if you have young children |
|
1.12 |
Do not smoke upstairs
in the house, or in the Table-Tennis room. |
|
1.13 |
Keep the front
and salon doors onto the road secure when there are young children in the
house. |
|
1.14 |
The kitchen
equipment should only be used under responsible supervision |
|
1.15 |
Notify the
Housekeeper if any of the Fire Extinguishers are discharged |
|
1.16 |
Notify the
Housekeeper if any of the trip switches need re-setting in the Fuse Box, or
if there are any other electrical problems. |
|
1.17 |
If you have not
changed a gas bottle on an appliance before, ask the Housekeeper for
instructions. |
|
1.18 |
Any defects in
the house which may lead to degradation of safety must be reported
immediately to the Housekeeper |
|
|
|
|
2. |
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE |
|
2.1 |
The
Òturn-aroundÓ from one client to another involves considerable work by the
Housekeeper and assistants; please ensure that you are ready to leave the
house by the due time. |
|
2.2 |
Please remove
any perishable food from the fridges when you depart. |
|
2.3 |
The
Housekeeper will be changing the beds and cleaning the house. Excessive
untidiness leading to additional work by the housekeeper may be subject to a
Surcharge |
|
2.4 |
If the Housekeeper
has not arrived when it is time for you to depart from the house, please lock
the front and back doors, close the garden gates, and place the keys in the
letter-box beside the front door. |
|

|
|
3. |
GAS |
|
3.1 |
The kitchen
cooker and barbecue use bottled gas. If the supply runs out please fit the
spare (in the utility room). |
|
3.2 |
Please notify
the Housekeeper when you change a gas bottle so that another spare can be
brought. |
|
|
|
|
4. |
ELECTRICITY |
|
4.1 |
Electricity is
cheaper at lunch-time from 12:00 to 14:30, and at night from 01:30 to 07:00.
There is a time-switch on the washing machine to enable you to take advantage
of this. |

4.2 |
Use only
low-power appliances in the power outlets in the bedrooms. |
|
4.3 |
In the summer,
it is cheaper to hang out washing to dry! |
|
|
|
|
5. |
BARBECUE |
|
5.1 |
Do not place
any combustible or other material on the Barbecue ÒcoalsÓ – this is
dangerous and will damage their performance. |
|
5.2 |
Do not place kitchen
pots/pans on the Barbecue grill – they are not designed for this use,
this is dangerous, and will damage them. |
|
5.3 |
Please leave
the barbecue and barbecue utensils as you would like to find them. |
|
|
|
|
6. |
BICYCLES |
|
6.1 |
Please repair any
punctures before you leave |
|
6.2 |
Please notify
the Housekeeper of any damage to bicycles |
|
|
|
|
7. |
GAMES &
BOOKS |
|
7.1 |
Please leave
all games as you would hope to find them – tidy and nothing missing. |
|
7.2 |
Do not climb onto
the Pool or Table-Tennis tables |
|
7.3 |
Do not use the
Boules indoors |
|
7.4 |
Please leave a
book if you take one away |
|
7.5 |
Do not put
drinks on the Pool Table |
|
|
|
|
8. |
PLUMBING |
|
8.1 |
The House has a
septic tank and is not connected to mains drainage. |
|
8.2 |
DO NOT put
tampons, sanitary pads, condoms or other similar materials down the toilets. |
|
8.3 |
DO NOT put
coffee-grounds or other non-soluble matter down the sink. |
|
8.4 |
ONLY USE appropriate
washing-up liquid, washing powder and cleaning materials. |
|
8.5 |
If you cause a
blockage in the toilets, you will have to pay for it to be cleared! (MINIMUM
Û 100) |

|
|
|
9. |
BEDS,
BEDDING & TOWELS |
|
9.1 |
Spare bedding is
available in case of ÒaccidentsÓ. Please notify the housekeeper. |
|
9.2 |
All beds have
mattress protection covers. A surcharge will be levied if mattresses are
damaged. |
|
9.3 |
Do not use
Bath Towels in the swimming pool. Bring your own. |
|
|
|
|
10. |
SMOKING |
|
10.1 |
Smoking is
permitted on the Ground floor and outside ONLY. |
|
10.2 |
Please do not
discard cigarette-ends down toilets, onto the barbecue, or in the garden. Ash
trays are available. |
|
|
|
|
11. |
GENERAL |
|
11.1 |
Do not put cups/drinks
on polished wood surfaces |
|
11.2 |
Rubbish
collection Day is WEDNESDAY. Please put the bin outside the garden gate on
Tuesday evening. |
|
11.3 |
Please have
respect for the neighbours and avoid excessive noise. (The Mayor lives next
door!) |
